A NAS A WEEK - 25 MUHARRAM 1434

Usair b. Jabir reported that a delegation from Kufa came to 'Umar and there was a person amongst them who jeered at Uwais. Thereupon Umar said: Is there amongst us one from Qaran? That person came and Umar said: Verily Allah's Messenger (salallahu 'alaihi wassalam) has said: There would come to you a person from Yemen who would be called Uwais and he would leave none in Yemen (behind him) except his mother, and he would have the whiteness (due to leprosy) and he supplicated Allah and it was cured except for the size of a dinar or dirham. He who amongst you meets him should ask him to supplicate for forgiveness (from Allah) for you [Hadith from the Translation of Sahih Muslim, Book 31: Kitab Al-Fada'il Al-Sahabah (Book Pertaining To The Merits Of The Companions (radhi Allahu 'anhu) Of The Holy Prophet (salallahu 'alaihi wassalam), Chapter 55: The Merits Of Uwais Qarani (radhi Allahu 'anhu), Hadith Number: 6170

A NAS A WEEK - 15 DZUL QA'IDAH 1433

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: Allah’s Messenger (salallahu 'alaihi wassalam) said, “He who abandons lying, having been false, will have a castle built for him just within Paradise. He who abandons disputing, having been speaking the truth, will have one built for him in the middle of Paradise. He whose character is good will have one built for him in the highest part of it.” [Tirmidhi transmitted this Hadith, saying this is a hasan tradition. The same is said in Sharh as-Sunnah, but in al-Masabih it is called gharib. - Al-Tirmidhi – Hadith Number 4831].
