A NAS A WEEK - 11 JAMADIL AWWAL 1439H

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “It is not lawful for a woman who has faith in Allah and the Last Day to travel for a day and a night without her guardian.” [Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1038, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1339; Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi (authenticity agreed upon) according to Al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Al-Mubarakpuri said, “The Hanafi scholars said it is permissible for her to go out for a short distance without a guardian.” [Source: Tuḥfat al-Aḥwadhī 1169]

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُسَافِرَ مَسِيرَةَ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ لَيْسَ مَعَهَا حُرْمَةٌ

قال المباركفوري قَالَ الْحَنَفِيَّةُ يُبَاحُ لَهَا الْخُرُوجُ إِلَى مَا دُونَ مَسَافَةِ الْقَصْرِ بِغَيْرِ مَحْرَمٍ
