Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Listening
to and obeying the leader is an obligation upon a Muslim, whether he
likes it or dislikes it, as long as he is not commanded to disobey
Allah. If he is commanded to disobey Allah, there is no listening or

السَّمْعُ وَالطَّاعَةُ عَلَى الْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ فِيمَا أَحَبَّ
وَكَرِهَ مَا لَمْ يُؤْمَرْ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ فَإِذَا أُمِرَ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ
فَلَا سَمْعَ وَلَا طَاعَةَ
