ISDEV Graduate Discourse in July 2017- Another 3 RISDEV Students Get The Nod

The ISDEV Intellectual Graduate Discourse was held on Wednesday, 5 July, 2017 at Dewan Kuliah A (DKA), School of Social Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The discourse was chaired by ISDEV Deputy Director, Dr. Fadzila Azni Ahmad. Three ISDEV’s PhD candidates presented their Final draft and PhD theses' proposal in three sessions.

For the morning session, the first candidate was Ekarat Sitisan with his PhD draft tesis on Guidelines of Islamic Corporate Social responsibility of Islamic bank in Thailand. He is currently supervised by Assoc. Prof Dr. Zakaria Bahari. His draft tesis was evaluate by Dr. Fadzila Azni Ahmad. Despite all the question asked from his examiner, he had successfully defended his PhD draft thesis to continue of the next step of submission of his PhD.

The second candidate was Syazalie Hirman Ahmad Najib with his PhD proposal title on "Teori Tingkah Laku Berteraskan Islam: Penilaian Semula Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB)". He is currently supervised by Dr. Shahir Akram Hassan. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zakaria Bahari took the responsibility to evaluate his PhD Thesis proposal.

The last candidate to present her PhD thesis proposal is currently a student under the supervision of Dr Mohd Shukri Hanapi. Yusma Fariza Yasin pesented the proposal on "Faktor-faktor kejayaan usahawan wanita produk kesihatan di Malaysia: Analisis berdasarkan faktor-faktor kejayaan khadijah binti Khuwaylid R.A". Her PhD thesis proposal was evaluated by Dr. Azrin Ibrahim. 

As usual Q&A session took place after each presentation. Finally, the candidates could give a heave a sigh of grateful relief when all the lecturers agreed to give endorsement for them to proceed with the thesis proper.
