LECTURES ON BUMIPUTRAISM AND CONVERSION ISSUES FOR NORWAY STUDENTS

A total of 32 students from University of Agder and Bergen University College in Norway will be at ISDEV on Thursday, 24 January 2008. Led by Associate Professor Levi Geir Eidhamar of the University of Agder, these students of "Religion in Asia" study programme will follow a series of lectures on Bumiputraism and Conversion Issues in Malaysia. The lectures will be delivered by Associate Professor Ahmad Haji Muhammad (Deputy Dean of the School of Distance Education) and Dr Zulkarnain Mohd Hatta (Social Work lecturer of the School of Social Sciences) respectively. The lectures will be followed by a dialogue session.

Last year, on 5-6 February 2007, ISDEV has also hosted a group of students from the same Universities and study programme. In order to have a continuos and formal smart partnership, University of Agder as coordinator of the programme has suggested a signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ISDEV. ISDEV is studying the MoU at the moment.
