With the cooperation of all ISDEV members, the 6th ISDEV International Graduate Workshop 2011 (INGRAW11) was successfully organized as scheduled. The workshop was held from 11 tilll 12 October at the University's Conference Hall with more than 100 participants attending. Two keynote addresses were delivered, firstly by ISDEV Director, Professor Muhammad Syukri Salleh with the title 'Liberating Graduate Research on Islam and Muslim', and secondly by ISDEV Deputy Director Dr Fadzila Azni Ahmad on 'The Best Thesis: What and How?'.

A total of 77 papers were presented throughout the one and half-day workshop divided into three segments of seven concurrent sessions each. Presenters' working papers were evaluated by Resource Persons who have the required expertise of the field presented in the paper. Besides having USM lecturers as the Resource Persons, there were also invited Resource Persons from outside USM such as Dr Irsyad from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Dr Azrin Ahmad Adnan from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) and Dr Warjio from Universitas Medan Area (UMA). The closing ceremony took place on the noon of the second day by Professor Roshada Hashim, the Dean of the Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS), Universiti Sains Malaysia. INGRAW 2011 ended with positive vibes that each and every participants will surely cherish and instill themselves the determination to produce the very best in writing their thesis.
