A NAS A WEEK - 22 SAFAR 1441H

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do you know who are the foremost to the shade of Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection?” They said, “Allah and his Messenger knows best.” The Prophet said, “They are those who accept the truth when they receive it, who offer the truth when they are asked for it, and who judge people the way they judge themselves.” [Source: Musnad Aḥmad 23858. Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Suyuti]

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَتَدْرُونَ مَنْ السَّابِقُونَ إِلَى ظِلِّ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا أُعْطُوا الْحَقَّ قَبِلُوهُ وَإِذَا سُئِلُوهُ بَذَلُوهُ وَحَكَمُوا لِلنَّاسِ كَحُكْمِهِمْ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ

A NAS A WEEK - 15 SAFAR 1441H

Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil) but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere.  ¹⁵⁹ [The English Translation of al-Baqarah, 2: 155 by Abdullah Yusuf Ali].

159 - The glad tidings are the blessings of God in ii. 157 or (which is the same thing) the promise in ii. 153 that God will be with them.

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He is not one of us who is not merciful to our young, nor respects the rights of our elders, nor enjoins good, nor forbids evil.” [Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 1921. Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Ahmad Shakir]
