The Office of the Deputy Dean (Research and Postgraduate) of the School of Social Sciences has chosen PhD theses of three ISDEV graduates for the School's nomination for the Best PhD Thesis Award in Pure Arts of the University. The Award, to be delivered first time next year at a special night called Persada Kencana that aims to acknowledge excellence achievement of graduate students of the University, is managed by the Institute of Graduate Studies.
The ISDEV theses chosen for the nomination were:
1. "Methods of Management of the Islamic Development Institutions in Malaysia" by Dr Fadzila Azni Ahmad who is now a lecturer of the Islamic Development Management Programme of the School of Social Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

2. "Code of Ethics of Islamic Development Institutions in Malaysia: A Case Study of Lembaga Tabung Haji" by Dr Nor Azzah Kamri who is now a lecturer of Islamic Academy of Universiti Malaya.
