ISDEV DIRECTOR GOES FOR HIS SABBATICAL

ISDEV Director, Professor Muhammad Syukri Salleh, is currently undergoing his sabbatical for a period of five months commencing January 2010. During his absence, ISDEV current Deputy Director Dr Fadzila Azni Ahmad will take the helm as ISDEV Acting Director whilst Dr Zakaria Bahari will be ISDEV Acting Deputy Director. At the end of his sabbatical, Professor Syukri is scheduled to report back to the university in June 2010.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Prophet (salallahu 'alaihi wassalam) said: When a man goes out of his house and says: "In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah; there is no might and no power but in Allah," the following will be said to him at that time: "You are guided, defended and protected." The devils will go far from him and another devil will say: How can you deal with a man who has been guided, defended and protected? Narrated Hafsah, Ummul Mu'minin: The apostle of Allah (salallahu 'alaihi wassalam) used to fast three days every month: Monday, Thursday and Monday in the next week [Hadith from Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 13: Kitab al-Siyam (Fasting), Hadith No. 2445].
